Philippine Youth Charter on Responsabilities
Fleur de Lys (Pinky) CASTELO-CUPINO, December 2006
One hundred (100) young people who attended the Youth Festival last December 1-3, 2006 in the Philippines formulated this Youth Charter on Responsibilities. It starts with an assessment of the strength and resources of the Filipino youth, the challenges that they face, problems specific to the environment, peace and rights, and identity, gender, and culture.
The Charter ends with resolutions on general responsibilities ahead, as well as specific responsibilities on education, environment, peace and rights, and identity, gender and culture. The Youth Festival was hosted by the Charter of Human Responsibilities – Philippine Team.
